Band Update from Mr. Johnson -
Our musicians represented us with great Rebel pride as our Band students watched the Region 8 Marching Assessment, graded the bands performing, and were absolutely in love with everything they saw. Small schools such as Magazine and Mountainburg up to larger schools like Northside and Southside High Schools showed how much work is involved to make beautiful displays. Everyone on the trip left with an everlasting impression from the Razorback Marching Band performing just before awards were presented.
Thank you to our chaperones, parents, school, and our students for this opportunity. If you would like to watch what we saw at the Assessment, please find "NHS Grizzly Band" on YouTube to enjoy the shows they worked so hard to display. We will soon join them in performance!
One of the highlights of last week was definitely our homecoming pep rally and homecoming court. From battle of the classes, to the beautiful homecoming maids and their handsome escorts, to the school spirit it was a great time for everyone!

Mrs. Mars Spanish 1 students had a great time putting their new language skills into practice through restaurant skits. Students had to write a skit that included preliminary lessons: hellos, goodbyes, ordering food politely, talking about the weather and asking the time. Great job everyone!
Game Day takes our boys of fall to Magazine tonight to take on the Rattlers! We hope to see you there to cheer them on!

Mrs. Hurt's Life and Fitness Nutrition is trying new healthy foods! Each student picked a healthy food to make and share. Logan chose Yogurt Parfaits. YUM! Way to go Logan.

Ms. Lovell's Art 2 students are finishing up their monochromatic acrylic paintings. Monochromatic means one color, students chose a color then created a work using only that color and the tints/shades of that color. Beautiful work!

The Junior Class will be selling peanuts again this Friday night. All proceeds will go to support the 2023 JC Westside prom.

The JC Westside golf teams competed the District Golf Tournament in Booneville today.
Westside boys golf team came in 4th place at today’s district tournament. Congratulations to Cooper Hilton for qualifying for the State Golf Tournament! (Carson Hurst, David Gregory, Gabe Hickey, and Cooper Hilton)
